Appointment of Editors
Editors are appointed on the basis of their:

Expertise relevant to the journal’s aims and scope

Ability and commitment to perform editorial responsibilities
Understanding of research integrity and publication ethics
Appointments are made solely on professional and academic merit. Publication System does not discriminate on the basis of nationality, geographic location, institutional affiliation, gender, religion, ethnicity, disability, age, or any other personal characteristic unrelated to professional competence.
Responsibilities of Editors
Editors are responsible for assessing submitted manuscripts in relation to their academic quality, originality, methodological soundness, ethical compliance, clarity, and relevance to the journal’s scope.
Editorial recommendations and decisions must be based on objective academic evaluation, independent peer-review reports, and the journal’s established editorial policies.
Editors must not:
Discriminate against authors on the basis of nationality, geographic location, institutional affiliation, gender, religion, ethnicity, or other personal characteristics.
Allow personal, professional, financial, institutional, or ideological interests to influence editorial decisions.
Request or encourage authors to cite irrelevant, unnecessary, or non-scholarly sources.
Request inappropriate citations intended solely to increase citations to an editor’s own work, a particular journal, or the publisher’s publications.
Disclose information about submitted manuscripts to unauthorized individuals.
Use unpublished information obtained through the editorial process for personal or professional advantage.
Editors are required to:
Treat all submitted manuscripts fairly, objectively, and confidentially.
Evaluate manuscripts solely on their scholarly merit and relevance to the journal.
Select qualified and independent reviewers with appropriate subject expertise.
Avoid reviewers who may have a conflict of interest with the authors or the submitted work.
Declare any actual, potential, or perceived conflict of interest.
Recuse themselves from handling manuscripts where their impartiality could reasonably be questioned.
Provide authors with clear, constructive, and properly justified editorial decisions.
Ensure that requests for revision are relevant to improving the academic quality and integrity of the manuscript.
Protect the confidentiality and integrity of the peer-review process.
Follow the journal’s policies on research ethics, corrections, retractions, complaints, and appeals.
Editorial Independence
Editorial decisions must remain independent of commercial, financial, institutional, or personal considerations. The payment or non-payment of an Article Processing Charge must not influence peer review, editorial assessment, or the final publication decision.
Publication System respects the editorial independence of its journals and does not interfere with decisions concerning the acceptance or rejection of individual manuscripts.
Manuscripts Submitted by Editors
Manuscripts authored or co-authored by an editor or Editorial Board member may be considered for publication, provided that they undergo the same editorial and ethical requirements as all other submissions.
Such manuscripts must be managed independently by another qualified editor who has no conflict of interest with the authors or the submitted work. The author-editor must not participate in reviewer selection, peer-review management, editorial discussions, or the final decision concerning the manuscript.
These submissions are subject to independent double-blind peer review by at least two qualified external reviewers. Any requested revisions must be addressed appropriately before an independent editor makes the final decision.
The published article should include an appropriate disclosure identifying the author’s editorial role and confirming that the individual was not involved in the review or decision-making process.
Confidentiality and Conflicts of Interest
Editors must maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts, reviewer reports, author correspondence, and all other materials connected to the editorial process.
Editors must disclose any relationship or interest that could influence—or reasonably appear to influence—their judgment. Where a conflict exists, responsibility for the manuscript must be transferred to another qualified and independent editor.
Joining an Editorial Board

Submission of an application does not guarantee appointment. Applications are evaluated according to the journal’s current editorial needs, the candidate’s qualifications and expertise, and their ability to contribute effectively to the journal’s editorial activities.
Editorial Accountability
Editorial Board membership is subject to continued compliance with ’s editorial policies and professional standards. Publication System reserves the right to review, suspend, or terminate an editorial appointment in cases of prolonged inactivity, undisclosed conflicts of interest, breach of confidentiality, unethical conduct, misuse of editorial authority, or failure to fulfil assigned responsibilities.
Guest Editorship
Publication System () invites qualified researchers, clinicians, and academic professionals to propose and lead Special Issues across its journals in artificial intelligence, health informatics, digital health, medical data science, and related healthcare fields.
Guest Editors work with the journal’s Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board to define the scope of the Special Issue, identify relevant research topics, invite suitable contributions, and support the editorial process. All submitted manuscripts undergo the journal’s standard double-blind peer-review process and must comply with ’s editorial policies and publication ethics.
Proposals are evaluated according to the relevance and timeliness of the topic, the qualifications of the proposed Guest Editor or editorial team, and alignment with the journal’s aims and scope.
Applicants should submit a brief proposal describing the proposed title, scope, scientific rationale, expected contribution, and relevant expertise of the Guest Editor or team.
